From Jan. 18 until Feb. 15, the Newfane Public Library will hold its second annual book sale at The Winery at Marjim Manor, 7171 East Lake Road (Route 18), Appleton. There will be a variety of soft and hard cover books in myriad genres.
With a donation of books or purchase of a book, those over 21 will be given a free wine tasting. The sale will take place during regular winery hour: 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The weekend of Feb. 13-14 also is the Niagara Wine Trail's "Be Mine with Wine" event. Just Chocolate will do wine and chocolate pairing with unique gourmet chocolates. The company's flavors include sea salt and toffee, cherry almond, raspberry and peanut butter.
