Youngstown: 'Caroling in the Village' on Wednesday

Sat, Dec 19th 2015 07:00 am

Area residents are invited to the third annual Christmas "Caroling In The Village" at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, in Youngstown. The Dory Trading Post, 435 Main St., hosts the event.

Carolers are requested to assemble at The Dory for a time of potluck snacks and beverages. Christmas caroling gets underway at 7 p.m. with festivities continuing at the Dory after caroling.

"Carolers come from all over, as this has never just been a Youngstown-only event," said Cathy Pasquantino of the Youngstown Village Diner, co-president of PYRBA.org. "It's the place to be if you enjoy this old-time tradition of publicly singing Christmas carols with your entire family - young and old. Not only that, with temperatures projected for 50 degrees that evening ... caroling will help you get in the spirit of the season."
