Learn about snowmobile safety in a free state course being offered from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co., 3747 Lockport Road, Sanborn.
The course is open to ages 10 and older. A parent or guardian must accompany each student to register and sign a permission slip, and then pick each participating child up at the course's completion.
Students should bring a pencil/pen and a lunch. Soft drinks and snacks will be provided.
There is no admission cost, but pre-registration is required. Call Rodger Johnson at 731-2174.
This event is sponsored by the Shawnee Sno-Chiefs Snowmobile Club in cooperation with the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co.
