Salon provides free cuts on Veterans Day

Hair Envy salon in the Grand Island Plaza said 'Thank you' to Island veterans by providing free cuts for them Veterans Day.
Cathy Fancher, who owns the salon at 2421 Grand Island Blvd. in the Grand Island Plaza, said Wednesday's offering was the first-ever event, but they plan to make it an annual occasion. She said they had positive feedback from veterans and non-veterans alike for the event, which was inspired by a desire to thank their patrons for their service.
"I think the Town of Grand Island has been really good to us, so it was our way of giving back to people who gave for us," Fancher said.
