"Rink 2" officially renamed "New Wave Energy Rink at HARBORCENTER"

HARBORCENTER welcomes New Wave Energy Corp. as an advertising partner and the official title sponsor of one of The Rinks at HARBORCENTER. New Wave Energy, "The Power Behind HARBORCENTER," is now featured in signage throughout the complex and "New Wave Energy Rink at HARBORCENTER" officially takes the name of what was formerly "Rink 2." The local energy firm will deploy a smartphone "charging station" baring the companies name and logo for guests and the viewing public to use for free to power up their phones.

"As 'The Power Behind the Buffalo Sabres,' New Wave has been a tremendous partner of ours for the last two seasons," said Bruce Popko, Pegula Sports and Entertainment's executive vice president for business development. "This innovative company represents the future of Western New York energy through its comprehensive, cost-efficient solutions, and we are proud to extend our partnership to HARBORCENTER."

In addition to its advertising partnership with the Buffalo Sabres and HARBORCENTER, New Wave Energy serves as the energy supplier at First Niagara Center.

"HARBORCENTER is the crown jewel of our city," said James Schuster, director of operations for New Wave Energy Corp. "We cannot thank the Pegula family enough for their commitment to our region in so many critical ways. Being able to power and heat this world-class facility makes us a small part of One Buffalo and, as a small growing company, we are extremely honored to have the distinction of being the official energy provider to HARBORCENTER.

"The New Wave Energy Rink is up and running, the ice is fresh, and we look forward to watching the pros and the public alike enjoy it for years to come."

New Wave Energy Corp., a Buffalo-based company, is an approved New York electric and natural gas utility supplier. The locally owned company provides low-cost energy to more than 7,000 electric and natural gas customers both commercially and residentially.
