Memorial Medical Center schedules flu shot clinics

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will conduct flu shot clinics for adults 18 and older from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.

The clinics will be held in the Medical Center Auditorium, 621 10th St. Both quadrivalent and high-dose influenza vaccines will be available along with two types of pneumonia vaccine.

Those seeking flu shots should use the hospital's 10th Street entrance or the walkway from the attached parking ramp, where free parking will be provided. In order to expedite the inoculation process, please wear a short-sleeved shirt or top.

Patients with health insurance, including Medicare, should be prepared to present their insurance cards. No co-pay will be required. Individuals who do not have insurance will be charged $25 for the quadrivalent influenza vaccine.

People exhibiting cold-like symptoms, including an elevated temperature, should wait until a later clinic to get their flu shots.
