The Rivershore Foundation will celebrate Rivershore's 35th anniversary at its annual gala beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Niagara Falls Country Club. The evening includes dinner, entertainment and a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting Rivershore programs.

Rev. Joseph L. Levesque C.M., president emeritus at Niagara University, is the honorary event chairman. Maryalice Demler from WGRZ Channel 2 will once again serve as emcee. The evening's entertainment will be provided by Artisan's Edge, a group of artists supported by Rivershore.

Artisan's Edge includes musicians, actors, painters, sculptors, potters, mixed-media artists and more. The artists have received many awards, including placing on four separate occasions at the renowned Lewiston Art Festival. They also have won first place and Best in Show at the NYSACRA Art show in Albany.

Additionally, Artisan's Edge has created and hosted The Haunted Armory attraction in the old armory building in Niagara Falls each October since 2013. The artists create all of the scenery and props and are also the actors who frighten guests as they tour the haunted fortress.

Founded in 1980, Rivershore's mission is to support people living with disabilities as they pursue and achieve a meaningful life. Rivershore supports over 200 people living with disabilities in Niagara County each year, employs 125 staff and has 15 locations.
