Lewiston Kiwanis: 'Bud' Thompson Memorial Garden rededication

The Kiwanis Club of Lewiston has announced a rededication of the Kiwanis "Bud" Thompson Memorial Garden will occur at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Kiwanis Park in the Village of Lewiston.

The memorial garden was established in 2010 in memory of Frances "Bud" Thompson a dedicated Kiwanis member and past lieutenant governor.

Since its inception, the Kiwanis Club has memorialized 35 deceased and dedicated members. In addition to Thompson, members include David Broderick, Harry Dixon, Richard Drake, Gerald Farr, Bud Griffith, John Guetta, John Hessney, Don Hibbard, Bill Holroyd, Ted Hoyle, Robert Hyland, David Lass, Sebastian "Buster" Lombardi, Robert Lowe, William McQuay, Leon Paczkowski, Eugene Parrone, Robert Philbrick, Herb Reiter, Edward Rodgers, Harold Rose, William Roth, Robert Sabbato, John Scarf, Paul Schmoyer, Phillip Seminara, Robert Skimin, Pastor Milan Slahor, Allan VanDenBosch, Steven Washuta, Richard Webb, Wil Worley, Richard Young and Andrew Zucco.

The family and friends of those listed above are invited to attend this ceremony to remember their loved ones.

Lewiston Kiwanis requests those who know the deceased's family members contact them about this rededication.
