Effective Sept. 7, the days of the Niagara County Department of Health sexually transmitted disease/HIV clinic will change from Monday and Wednesday to Monday and Thursday. Clinic hours will continue to be 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic is located at the Trott Access Center, 1001 11th St., Niagara Falls.
The clinic will not be open Sept. 7 because of the Labor Day holiday, but will accept patients on the new schedule starting Sept. 10.
The Niagara County Department of Health STD/HIV clinic provides examination and testing by specialized staff for anyone age 12 years and older, regardless of income. Counseling and treatment are provided for bacterial vaginosis, chlamydia, genital lice (crabs), genital warts, gonorrhea, herpes, scabies, syphilis, trichomoniasis, nongonococcal urethritis/cervicitis and yeast infections. Clinic staff also conducts HIV testing and counseling and make referrals for treatment if indicated. No appointment is necessary.
