Niagara County Peach Festival to hold cheerleading competition

Niagara County Peach Festival Chairman Gerry Gismondi has announced there will be a cheerleading competition Friday, Sept. 11, at Academy Park on Center Street in Lewiston. Competition will be held for high school varsity and junior varsity cheerleading squads or youth football and all-star squads.

Participants will perform a maximum five-minute routine containing a cheer and two-and-a-half-minutes-max music portion. Trophies will be given for first, second and third place in each category.

There is no charge for teams to enter. All entries must be in by Sept. 4. Visit www.lewistonpeachfestival.org/get-involved/cheerleading-application/ for the application to enter.

Judges for the Niagara County Peach Festival cheerleading competition are Annmarie DiMino-Hepner, Carol Houwaart-Diez, Tom Deal, Michael Fiore and Dr. James Klyczek.
