Laura A. Cherry, R.N., B.S.N., has been named director of quality management at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
A Memorial Medical Center employee since 1984, Cherry graduated from Niagara County Community College and Liberty University Online, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in nursing education.
While at Memorial, Cherry has worked in both the medical and behavioral health emergency rooms as well as inpatient behavioral health. She had been clinical coordinator of the ER1 Emergency Department since 2008.
In her new role, she will be responsible for overall planning, development and direction in the areas of quality management, infection control, patient safety and regulatory compliance.
