All the elements came together for "Blue Monday" this week ... including the rain.

Loyal fans began to stake out their favorite spots in Hennepin Park. The Growlers Blues Band was tuning up, and a tour bus with members of the New Beginnings Choir was en route from Buffalo to add an extra element of awesomeness. But, alas, the weather did not cooperate and the Marsha McWilson concert was rained out.

McWilson always gives 110 percent to her audience, so it was only fitting it didn't just rain, it poured, and there was thunder and lightening - as if the heavens were trying to upstage the singer.

McWilson will return to Hennepin Park Monday, Aug. 31. Music begins at p.m. McWilson will be accompanied by Ella Robinson, the Beautiful Music Band and Mike McDougald with the BB King Tribute.

"Well, this was a prime example of having the blues, but it gives me another opportunity to let people know that I'm releasing my new CD, 'Blue Sky Blues,' at the re-scheduled concert. So join us and we'll all paint the sky blue in Lewiston on Aug. 31 at the 'Blue Monday finale," McWilson said.
