From July 23-Aug. 1, Niagara University Theatre will continue its mission to present engaging, delightful theater for young audiences productions with "The True Story of The Three Little Pigs," presented by The Friends of Niagara University Theatre.

Steven Braddock, director of Niagara University Theatre said, "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to present 'The True Story of The Three Little Pigs,' a free theatrical production for the whole family. This children's musical is based on the popular book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith. The tale centers on a trial for the Big Bad Wolf, and children and their parents get to participate as the jury, discovering who really is to blame. It's a thrilling courtroom dramedy with music ... and ham!"

Braddock and Terri Filips Vaughan, associate professor of dance/choreographer for Niagara University's Department of Theatre and Fine Arts, will direct "The True Story of The Three Little Pigs". Music direction is by Nathanial W.C. Higgins, Class of 2015, a recent graduate of NU's theatre performance program.

Actors in the production include NU theatre performance students hailing from across New York: Heather Casseri, Matt Dell'Olio, Matt DiVita, Shelby Ehrenreich, Sabrina Kahwaty, Clarissa Maloy, Matthew Myers and Alexander Utz. Theatre design/ technology majors Marissa Allen (stage manager) and Nicholas Seres ('15) and Anna Krempholtz ('16), both set and lighting designers, are from Western New York. Associate professor Marilyn Deighton will provide costumes.

"The True Story of The Three Little Pigs" will be performed on the NU campus in the Leary Theatre within the Elizabeth Ann Clune Center for Theatre, Clet Hall. Reservations are not required for this free production. Call the NU Theatre Box Office at 716-286-8685 for more information.
