The Historic Riviera Theatre and Performing Arts Center announces movies will return to the theater with the launch of the M&T Bank Summer Film Series, featuring Tom Hanks movies, at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays from July 9 through Sept. 3 at the theater, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda.
In order to continue to play movies, the Historic Riviera Theatre recently completed installation of the movie-industry-mandated digital projection system after a successful 12-month fundraising campaign that raised the necessary $84,000 with major funding from the New York State Council on the Arts, M&T Bank, Rotary Club of Kenmore and many donations from the community.

Tickets are $3 each; series passes are $24. Riviera Theatre members get free admission.
