The New York State Senate has confirmed a county government leader and an energy consultant as the newest members of the New York Power Authority board of trustees.

Tracy B. McKibben, founder and president of MAC Energy Advisors LLC, will fill a vacant seat. MAC Energy advises companies and investors on strategic investments and capital investment structuring in the energy industry.

Anthony J. Picente Jr., the Oneida County executive, will fill a seat previously held by Joanne Mahoney, the Onondaga County executive. She resigned to become chair of the New York State Thruway Authority.

The NYPA board now has its full complement of seven trustees.

"On behalf of the trustees, I am pleased to welcome these highly qualified individuals, who will lend their valuable insights and expertise to the board," said John R. Koelmel, NYPA chair. "We look forward to their contributions as we ensure NYPA further strengthens its position as a national leader among public utilities."
