Town of Niagara man wins national award

Robert S. LaBarbera, Fraternal Insurance Counsellor of Our Lady of Hope Knights of Colombus No. 3076 in Kenmore, was recently awarded the Silver Production and the National Quality Service awards for 2014 by the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counsellors. LaBarbera was raised in North Tonawanda and resides in the Town of Niagara.

The national association has more than 4,000 members in the United States and Canada. The Quality Service Award is given to those representatives who maintain at least 90 percent consistency of at least 25 life insurance policies totaling $1 million. The Production Award is given to those representatives who have earned a minimum level of commissions based on at least 25 life insurance policies written.

"These awards go to field agents who have demonstrated excellence in serving their clients," said Anna Maenner, NAFIC executive secretary.
