Significant steps have been taken in the movement to end women's inequality in New York, as Assemblyman John Ceretto and fellow Assembly colleagues passed legislation (A.6075) Monday to ensure equal pay for equal work for New York women.

"New York state has become a leader in the fight to end women's inequality once and for all," Ceretto said. "Passing this legislation was long overdue. As a father of two daughters, I understand the importance of making sure women in New York state have equal opportunities in the workplace so they can build successful and prosperous careers."

Ceretto is a sponsor on Assembly bill 6075, which states no employee shall be paid a wage at a rate less than an employee of the opposite sex in the same establishment.
