Leaders of the "Barrel Through Niagara" project will introduce visitors to a new public art project from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University.

Similar in conception to "Herd about Buffalo" that placed whimsical bison throughout the City of Buffalo, "Barrel Through Niagara" is working with artists who will create works of art from barrels - reminiscent of daredevils braving the mighty cataract. Once completed, the barrels will be placed at business and cultural attractions throughout Niagara County.

Find out what's happening and how you can get involved.

Guest speakers include Kristen Meyer of HYDRO NF, chair of the "Barrel Through Niagara" steering committee, and Michael J. Beam, curator of exhibitions & collections at the Castellani Art Museum.

Admission is free for Castellani Art Museum and Niagara Arts and Cultural Center members and $5 for the general public. Membership sign-up is available at the registration table at each lecture. To register, call 716-286-8200. Membership sign-up is available at the registration table at each lecture.
