From 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, David and Alexis O'Donnell from the Eastern Monarch Butterfly Farm will be guest speakers at Bond Lake Park. The O'Donnell's have been raising Eastern Monarch Butterflies for about 15 years. They raise 800 to 1,000 butterflies each year, which are released in Erie and Niagara counties.

Through the use of PowerPoint and other materials, these experts will bring visitors the latest information about the health and population of Monarchs. They also will share their ideas about which plants are beneficial in butterfly gardens.

There are invasive weeds that negatively impact the butterflies and should be avoided in plantings.

This program is a free event sponsored by the Bond Lake Park environmental
and beautification committee. It will take place in the Nature Center located at the rear of the Warming House at Bond Lake Park, 2571 Lower Mountain Road, Lewiston.

Space is limited. Contact David to register for this event at 716-725-7332.
