Sabres recall three forwards from Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres have recalled forwards Mikhail Grigorenko, Tim Schaller and Jerry D'Amigo from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Grigorenko (age 20, 6'3", 211 pounds) joins the Sabres for the fourth time this season, having recorded a goal and an assist in 12 NHL games so far this season. In Rochester, Grigorenko has appeared in 38 games in 2014-15 and has tallied 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists). In 55 NHL games played with the Sabres through parts of three seasons, he has registered 10 points (4/6). Drafted by the Sabres in the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Grigorenko signed an entry-level contract with the club in July 2012.

Schaller (age 24, 6'2", 206 pounds) will join the team for the third time this season after making his NHL debut Nov. 29 in Montreal. He leads the Amerks with 15 goals and ranks second on the club with 40 points (15/25) in 55 games. Originally signed by the Sabres as a free agent April 2, 2013, the native of Merrimack, New Hampshire, has played six games with the Sabres this season, scoring his first NHL goal Dec. 21 at Boston.

D'Amigo (age 24, 5'11", 205 pounds) is joining the Sabres for his first recall of the 2014-15 season after the team acquired him from Columbus Dec. 16. He has 26 points (9/17) in 59 AHL games this season, including 19 (6/13) in 31 games since joining the Amerks. The Binghamton native played in 22 NHL games during the 2013-14 season as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, recording one goal and two assists.
