The New York State Department of Transportation today announced bridge maintenance is scheduled to begin Tuesday on Packard Road, in the vicinity of Interstate 190 (Exit 23), in the Town of Niagara. As a result, Packard Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. This work is expected to last for approximately three weeks, but may be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
