Bipartisan group will call on Silver to resign immediately following his arrest on federal charges

Following the arrest of Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, Assemblywoman Jane Corwin (R-C-I-Clarence), Assemblyman Michael Kearns (D-C-I-South Buffalo), Assemblyman Raymond Walter (R-C-I-Amherst), Assemblywoman Angela Wozniak (R-C-I-Cheektowaga), Assemblyman Joseph M. Giglio (R-C-I-Gowanda) and Assemblyman John Ceretto (R-C-I-Lewiston) will hold a press conference tomorrow, at 10:30 a.m. denouncing Silver's actions and detailing how his continued leadership in the Assembly will negatively impact New Yorkers.

The elected officials will call on their colleagues in the Assembly Democrat conference to finally break ties and take a stance against Silver by calling for his resignation and electing new Assembly leadership.
