Niagara River Greenway meetings announced

The Niagara River Greenway Commission will hold two meetings Jan. 20 at Beaver Island State Park. The executive committee will meet at 2 p.m. at the park administrative office. The full commission will meet at 3 p.m. at the Beaver Island Clubhouse. Both meetings are open to the public.

The projects being considered for consistency review are as follows (and posted at http://www.niagaragreenway.org):

Zoological Society of Buffalo Inc. - Reptile House Renovation

Erie County - Black Rock Canal Park Improvements-Phase 3

Erie County - Tribute Garden at Isle View Park

Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy - Cazenovia Park- Shoreline & Trails Rehabilitation Project

Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy - Riverside Park- South Loop Trail Project

City of Tonawanda - Tonawanda Intermodal Transit Hub

Old 1st Ward Community Association Inc. - Riverworks Public Access Pedestrian Wharf & Docks

The Niagara River Greenway Commission is a public benefit corporation established by Chapter 460 of the laws of 2004, and charged with the planning and development of a greenway of interconnected parks, river access points and waterfront trails along the Niagara River from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario at the site of the historic Fort Niagara.
