2015 distinguished and emerging leader alumni awards call for nominations

Do you know someone who graduated from the Niagara Falls School District and is noted in their field of endeavor or recognized for expertise and good works?  If so, the Niagara Falls Education Foundation wants to hear from you. It will host its fifth annual scholarship and alumni recognition dinner Thursday, April 30, to honor graduates who have achieved excellence in their profession and made a significant contribution to Niagara County or the broader community.

Distinguished alumni and emerging leader alumni must have graduated from the Niagara Falls School District and distinguished themselves through achievement, service or contributions to society locally or to the broader community.

Past honorees include:

Arthur Elia, Sevenson Environmental Services

Rose Mento Brown, Niagara Falls School District

Anthony Quaranto, Niagara County/City of Niagara Falls

Frank Mirabelli, Mirabelli Plastering Corp.

The DiCamillo Family - Second Generation, DiCamillo Bakery

Chris Stoianoff, The Niagara Hub

Douglas Mooradian, Health System Services

This program is a way to show the strength of the Niagara Falls School District and the graduates who have made their mark in professional endeavors and affected their community for the better.

To complete and submit a distinguished alumni or emerging leader alumni awards nomination prior to the Jan. 12 deadline, send the nominee's name, contact information, year he/she graduated, along with two or three sentences on why he/she should be considered for the award to: [email protected] or mail to:

A dinner and awards ceremony will be held Thursday, April 30, at Antonio's Banquet & Conference Center on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Sponsorship opportunities and tickets are available.
