Buffalo Sabres recall Grigorenko from Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward Mikhail Grigorenko from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Grigorenko (age 20, 6'3", 211 lbs.), who will join the Sabres for the first time this season, is currently tied for second on the Amerks with seven goals in 2014-15 and has tallied 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 27 games played. In 43 NHL games played with the Sabres through parts of two seasons, he has recorded eight points (3/5).

Drafted by the Sabres in the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Grigorenko signed an entry-level contract with the club in July 2012. The Khabarovsk, Russia, native also has played parts of three seasons (2011-12 - 2013-14) for the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL.
