Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School's Campus Ministry Department collected food throughout the month of November. All students were asked to contribute nonperishable food items to Niagara Catholic's annual Thanksgiving food drive, to benefit the St. John de LaSalle and St. Vincent de Paul food pantries. These two organizations distribute the food to families in need. This year, Niagara Catholic collected about 1,065 food items and 10 turkeys.

These food items were arranged on stage by student council members and blessed at a Thanksgiving Mass last Wednesday at Niagara Catholic. Bella Ryan and Fred Forbes were present to accept the food on behalf of St. Vincent de Paul. They expressed thanks to Niagara Catholic for these gifts, which will feed more than 100 families during the holiday season. Walter Garrow and Chuck Siegfried accepted the food on behalf of St. John de LaSalle. They also gave thanks and noted this food would go to local families. There are hundreds of people in LaSalle who need assistance.
