The auditions are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for performers across the country to showcase their talent to the series' producers, in the hopes of being able to take the stage in front of the "AGT" judges.

For the first time in the show's history, America chose a magician as its favorite act, crowning Rhode Island native Mat Franco the winner of a $1 million grand prize and the opportunity to headline the "America's Got Talent Live" stage show in Las Vegas.

The season 10 audition cities include:

•Nov. 5: Nashville

•Nov. 6: Richmond, Virginia
