Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present with adoptable dogs Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the Sears court in the Boulevard Mall (corner of Niagara Falls Boulevard and Maple Road, Amherst). Dogs Bear, Zoey and Willis will be on hand. Photos and information on these and all adoptable animals is available online at www.heartofniagara.org.

Donations collected will go toward the purchase of agility equipment to help the dogs with exercise, socialization and behavior training. The goal is getting these dogs adopted faster. The public is invited to come and meet these beautiful animals and to find out more about the adoption process, animal care and upcoming meetings and events.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. Volunteers have adopted out more than 200 animals to date and operate solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.

Monthly volunteer meetings take place the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St. Meetings are open to the public; new volunteers are always welcome.
