Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present at the Lewiston Arts Festival with adoptable dogs in front of Grandpaws Pet Emporium, 402 Center St. (corner of North Fourth and Center streets - across from Hennepin Park Gazebo). HON and friends will be out from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Meet adoptable dogs Billy, Kayla, Kassie, Red, Ringo, Samson, Skipper and Toby, and find photos and information on these and all their animals on the HON website, www.heartofniagara.org. The public is invited to come and meet these beautiful animals and to find out more about the adoption process, animal care, and upcoming meetings and events.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. Volunteers have adopted out about 200 animals to date and operate solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.

HON's next volunteer meeting is Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 6:30-8 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston. The meeting is open to the public and new volunteers are always welcome. The August meeting will be an ice cream social. Topics will include a recap of the recent picnic and upcoming events.

For more information, visit the HON website or call 716-345-7129.
