Join the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum as it presents "Community Conversations with Kids" event "The Kite that Bridged Two Nations." This program focuses on the theme of friendship between family members, neighbors, strangers and nations. Participants will discuss the book "The Kite that Bridged Two Nations" by Alexis O'Neill, and how it relates to relationships within their own community, while making new friends along the way.

This program is appropriate for 8-12 year olds. Upon the completion of the program, participants are invited to enjoy free rides at the Kiddieland Testing Park.

The conversation will be held Wednesday, July 9, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Registration is free, and seating is limited. Call 716-693-1885 or email [email protected] to reserve a place at this event.

This program is made possible through support from the New York Council for the Humanities' "Speakers in the Humanities" and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is housed in the historic Allan Herschell Company Factory building at 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda.
