If you have a chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain or arthritis, a free Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop will begin on Friday, June 27, at the Pendleton Town Hall, 6570 Campbell Blvd. The sessions run for six consecutive Fridays from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide simple steps that help people better manage their health symptoms, to promote an active and fulfilling lifestyle and to feel better. Program instructors encourage caregivers to attend as well, as the program provides opportunities for caregivers to share, and support each other.

The workshop is sponsored by the Niagara County Office for the Aging and the Niagara County Department of Health. To register, contact NY Connects through the Office for the Aging at 716-438-3030 or the Niagara County Department of Health at 716-278-1900.

If your group or organization is interested in scheduling a workshop, call 716-278-1900.
