Kings defeat Rangers 3-2 in double-overtime of Game 5 to win second Stanley Cup in three seasons

The Los Angeles Kings defeated the New York Rangers Friday in double-overtime by a score of 3-2 to win their second Stanley Cup in three seasons.

NBC Sports Group continued its exclusive coverage of the Stanley Cup Finals. Emmy Award-winning play-by-play broadcaster Mike "Doc" Emrick, analyst Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winning "Inside the Glass" analyst Pierre McGuire had the call from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Coverage began at 7 p.m. with NBCSN and "NHL Live," hosted by Dave Briggs alongside former NHL players and analysts Anson Carter and Jeremy Roenick among the fans outside STAPLES Center.

Coverage shifted inside the arena at 7:30 p.m. with host Liam McHugh and former NHL players and analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones. "NHL Live" also featured an exclusive interview with Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, who led the Kings to their first Stanley Cup in 2012.
