During a recent visit to Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School, the Most Rev. Richard J. Malone, bishop of the Buffalo Diocese, was presented with a sizable donation to benefit Catholic Charities. Pictured with Malone, center, are Niagara Catholic juniors C. J. Tripi and Michael Grenga.

The NC students presented Richard Malone with a $1,000 gift on behalf of the entire student body. The donation was raised through various student fundraising activities held at the school.

Malone visited Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School recently to meet with members of the board of trustees and school administration, and to tour the campus. Topics discussed included the anticipated outcomes of the recent signing of the memorandum of understanding with Niagara University, the course offerings in the school's curriculum (which include Chinese language and culture courses), comprehensive technology enhancements throughout the high school, and the Hospitality & Tourism Academy, beginning this fall in collaboration with NU.

Malone also visited classrooms and met with students, faculty and staff during his visit. He pledged to pay a return visit to Niagara Catholic in the future as his schedule permits.
