Jon Harris to serve as the new daytime show's announcer

NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution has announced bandleader Everett Bradley and show announcer Jon Harris have joined "The Meredith Vieira Show," premiering in national syndication on Sept. 8. Geoff Rosen and Matthew Strauss have been named co-executive producers for the daytime show, which has now been sold to local stations in 98 percent of the U.S.

Bradley, who plays with Bruce Springsteen's famed E Street Band, will serve as the show's bandleader. An accomplished musician, he will lead the house band and treat viewers, guests and studio audiences to a broad and fun mix of music each weekday on "The Meredith Vieira Show."

A longtime collaborator with Vieira and her husband, Richard, Harris has been named as the show's announcer. He has had a successful career as the lead spokesman for some of the world's largest companies, serving most recently as chief communications officer for the Hillshire Brands Co. As Viera's close friend for nearly 20 years, Harris will lend a unique point of view, sense of humor and a lot of fun to the show.

"Everett and Jon are like brothers to me, and will be a great presence as we encourage guests and viewers to be brave and be their true selves," Vieira said. "They both bring an authentic kindness and a great sense of humor to our friendship that I am eager to share with our audience."

Behind the scenes, multiple Emmy Award-winners Rosen and Strauss will join Vieira, Michael Glantz and Rich Sirop as executive producers.

"Geoff and Matt have tremendous producing experience in daytime TV," Sirop said. "Both Meredith and I have been privileged to have worked with them on many award-winning television programs. They both bring a unique, dynamic and innovative perspective that will enhance the entertainment value and help distinguish 'The Meredith Vieira Show' from everything else in daytime."

Rosen first teamed up with Vieira on the hit game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" where he was supervising producer. He has a wide range of production credits that include "The Dr. Oz Show," "Lopez Tonight," "America's Money Class with Suze Orman" and "The Martha Stewart Show."

Strauss was part of the production team that launched "The View" in 1997, later becoming the show's coordinating producer. He also launched "The Dr. Oz Show" where he was supervising producer. Most recently, he was co-executive producer on "Katie."

Finally, the daytime show has brought on three supervising producers. Benita Alexander, Angela LaGreca and Leslie Peirez come to "The Meredith Vieira Show" with tremendous television production experience and credits that range from "Today" and "Dateline" to the "The Chew," "The View" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
