Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue visits Grandpaws Pet Emporium Saturday

Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be present with adoptable dogs this Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Grandpaws Pet Emporium, 784 Center St. (near the corner of North Eighth Street), Lewiston. Meet Joey, Hal, Sally and Penny, and get information about the adoption process, animal care, upcoming meetings and events.

Those in attendance can purchase tickets to Heart of Niagara's June 14 fundraiser, "Cruisin' At The Canal," which is presented by Blackwinds Pet Supplies and Lockport Outdoor Store. A $35 ticket includes a one-hour canal cruise provided by Lockport Locks and Erie Canal Cruises, a light dinner buffet, coffee and dessert. The Caribbean Extravaganza Steel Drum Band will provide entertainment. There will be a cash bar, door prizes, and a basket and silent auction.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. Volunteers have adopted out about 165 animals to date. HON operates solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.
