If you're looking for a little something extra to kick off the warm spring season, sit back, relax and check out Hedley's new "Wild Life" album to be released May 19 by Capitol Records.

All Hedley albums have a vast range of songs along with a flare that reflects modern trends. "Wild Life" continues to show audiences that the once uncharted band from Vancouver cannot and will not be pinned to one specific genre.

The spontaneity of the music and of its composers lives on. Guitarist Dave Rosin, bassist Tommy Mac and drummer Chris Crippin come together with frontman Jacob Hoggard to create fast-paced, handclapping beats that would suffice for any party, summer drive or workout session.

Hedley's latest hit, "Crazy For You," fits right in with the current electronic retro fad shown in the latest from bands like Maroon 5 and Daft Punk. The song begins with a scratchy vintage record affect and quickly transitions to a groovy, digital dance number.

Sound aside, the band members couldn't have picked a better name than "Wild Life" for their new album. The extreme difference in the overall vibe of each song seems to reflect the band's intense journey to the top. Upbeat, dance and alternative rock tracks like "I'll Be With You" accompany softer piano songs like "All the Way" to paint a dynamic scene of life's ups and downs.

The band member's four previous albums ΜΆ"Hedley" (2005), "Famous Last Words" (2007), "The Show Must Go" (2009) and "Storms" (2011) - have told a story of fighting through the many obstacles that come with relentlessly following big dreams.

Like Hoggard sings in the already certified three-times platinum track "Anything," "A thousand disbelievers couldn't keep me on the ground. I've invented a momentum that will never slow me down."

Indeed, "Wild Life" kicks up the dust a little and provides listeners with some energetic as well as mellow options for a catchy summer playlist.
