On Monday, March 10, the Niagara-Wheatfield High School Business Department and Student Council are teaming up for the fifth biannual Buffalo Sabres Alumni vs. Faculty Basketball Game fundraiser, with Bald For Buck$ being held at halftime, plus a basket auction by the girls varsity softball team.

The Sabres Alumni will sign autographs during halftime.

Tickets can be purchased in the high school office for $6 in advance or $9 at the door.

Game time is 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The basket auction will be from 3 to 8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. A concession stand will be available throughout the evening.

To make a donation in support of those faculty, staff and students participating in Bald For Buck$ by having their heads shaved for cancer research, go to www.baldforbucks.org or make a cash donation to Lynn Reed in the High School Career Center.

A portion of the ticket sales from the basketball game will go to Brundy's Brigade for Nathan Brundage and his family. Nathan, a high school junior and volunteer firefighter with the Lewiston No. 2 Volunteer Fire Co., is battling grade-four brain cancer. The event is sponsored by The Legend Group and Tim Hortons (Niagara Falls locations).
