Grand Island High School art students Ali Price and Jason Carroll volunteered their artistic talents to spruce up the Reality Café.

The two seniors fulfilled community service hours for their government class under the supervision of Phyllis Martin, recreation leader for Reality Café. A painting of the Grand Island bridges highlights the entry to the café and movie curtains were painted to border the movie screen in the main room. Price and Carroll will be continuing their education in art after they graduate from GIHS.

Reality Café is for middle school-age residents of Grand Island. The winter hours are Thursdays, 6 to 9 p.m.; Fridays, 6 to 10 p.m.; and Saturdays, 1 to 5 p.m. New members are always welcome. Available at the café is air hockey, basketball, pool table, movies, snacks, games and arts and crafts. More information can be found on the Recreation Department website at www.gigov.com or by calling the Recreation Department office at 716-773-9680.
