Local residents had a brief, but enjoyable ride in the lower Niagara gorge on New Year's Day as Niagara Jet Adventures held another of its test runs for its new jetboat "Gonago:go:h." Riders experienced the swiftness and maneuverability of the comfortable heated vessel, which seats 40, taking a trip past the New York Power Authority turbines before heading back to the Youngstown docks in the icy river. Jetboat operators anticipate future runs this winter as planning continues for launch of the operation this spring. (photos by Wayne Peters and Terry Duffy)
