Town of Niagara Police Blotter for Dec. 12, 2013

The Town of Niagara Police received the following calls between Dec. 8 and 10. During this time, 56 calls were answered.

Sunday, Dec. 8

•Drug check, Military Road near Porter-Packard roads. Patrol arrested a 19-year-old Sanborn woman after observing her crossing the center line several times and once going up on the sidewalk. Patrol seized some marijuana, and issued appearance tickets for unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to keep right. She was turned over to State Police on an active warrant.

•Drug arrest, Tuscarora and Saunders Settlement roads. A 17-year-old Kline Road man was arrested after patrol noticed a suspicious man walking near the intersection. He was carrying a jar containing a substance believed to be marijuana, a knife, a measuring scale and multiple pipes. He was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana.

•Vehicle and traffic, Military Road. Driver stopped for weaving in road. Driver was lost and trying to follow GPS.

•Speeding, Lockport, Porter and Military roads. Patrol issued speeding tickets in four different incidents.

•Drug arrest, 4500 block of Creekside Parkway. Patrol responded on a check the welfare complaint. Complainant said a child for whom he has custody complained about being stuck in the finger by a needle in a car. Patrol found 15 needles in the car. A 37-year-old woman was arrested on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a hypodermic needle.

Monday, Dec. 9

•Shoplifting, 2500 block of Military Road. A 33-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for concealing items valued at $195.43 in her purse. Items included laundry pods, baby formula and clothing.

•Suspicious incident, 200 block of Beckwith Ave. Complainant reported finding an arrow in her home's front porch area and a hole in her siding.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

•Recovered property, 1500 block of Military Road. An employee of a business found a small carrying case containing a gun in the parking lot. Patrol, while investigating, was met by a man who said he dropped his weapon in the parking lot while loading his groceries.

•Shoplifting, 1600 block of Military Road. A 50-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for taking a polar fleece valued at $70 from one store, boots valued at $79 from a second store and shoes valued at $29 from a third store.

•Traffic tickets, Porter Road. Officer issued tickets during six traffic stops.
