Doodle Bugs! Children's Centers in Cheektowaga, Clarence, East Amherst, Lancaster, Orchard Park and West Amherst recently hosted an annual toy drive and collected children's toys to be donated to Toys for Tots in time for the holiday season. Individuals from the Doodle Bugs! administrative offices presented the toys to Sgt. Keshia L. Toro at the Navy Operational Support Center in Buffalo.

The centers collected items from Nov. 18 to Dec. 6. Boxes were placed in the center as collection points. Together, the centers collected more than 450 toys for Toys for Tots.

"Our curriculum focuses around the topics of thankfulness and generosity and learning appreciation. Hosting a toy drive is the perfect opportunity to introduce children to the joy of giving, as well as a way to help our students understand how fortunate they are," said Christina Fecio, director of education for Doodle Bugs! Children's Centers. "It's so inspiring to watch young children get excited about bringing in toys that will help make other children's holiday very special. We have to thank our parents and center families for their tremendous support of this initiative."

Doodle Bugs! Children's Centers cares for and educates children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age, including preschool/pre-K and summer camp programs. For more information on Doodle Bugs! Children's Centers, visit www.doodlebugs.com or call 866-668-5111.
