When NFL passing yardage leader and Super Bowl XLI MVP Peyton Manning and the 9-1 Denver Broncos visit Tom Brady, MVP of Super Bowls XXXVI and XXXVIII, and the 7-3 New England Patriots this weekend on NBC's "Sunday Night Football," it will mark the third of five consecutive "SNF" games featuring a Super Bowl MVP quarterback - a first for NFL broadcast primetime (which dates to 1970).

The contest is also the first in NFL history in which both starting quarterbacks are at least 90 games over .500 in the regular season. In their careers, Brady is plus-101 (143-42) and Manning is plus-92 (163-71).

"This is one of those games that you treasure because you know that the end of this string is coming," "SNF" analyst Cris Collinsworth said on NBC Sports Radio. "But it's amazing now this is the 14th time they've played and every one of them feels like it's been significant. That's quite a tribute to these two guys and their careers."

Following is a look at the "SNF" games with a Super Bowl MVP quarterback:

•Nov. 10 - Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees passed for 392 yards and four touchdowns to lead the first-place New Orleans Saints to a 49-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

•Nov. 17 - Peyton Manning threw for 323 yards and one touchdown as the Denver Broncos defeated the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs 27-17 in the first matchup in 44 years between clubs with 9-0 and 8-1-or-better records.

•Nov. 24 - The matchup between first-place teams from the AFC West and AFC East is "Manning-Brady XIV." Brady has won nine of the previous 13 meetings. This marks the second time in NFL history that two starting quarterbacks with 140-plus career regular-season wins each meet in a game (first: Elway-147 wins vs. Marino-141 wins on Dec. 21, 1998).

•Nov. 28 - Joe Flacco, the most reigning Super Bowl MVP, leads Baltimore against AFC North-rival Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving night.

•Dec. 1 - Two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning (XLII and XLVI) and the New York Giants, winners of four consecutive games to date, visit division rival Washington.
