Official election results haven't been released by the Niagara County Board of Elections yet, but unofficial results show Republicans and incumbents did well in Tuesday's races.
Wheatfield races
Supervisor: incumbent Robert B. Cliffe (R, C, W, I) defeated Thomas J. Larson (D) 1,961 to 1,252.
Councilman: Incumbent Arthur W. Gerbec (R, C, I) collected 1,656 votes and newcomer Randy W. Retzlaff (R, C, I) won 1,786 votes to take the two open seats. Shirley J. Joy (D, W) had 1,533 votes and Judy A. Blake (D, W) had 1,485 votes.
Town Justice: Erin P. DeLabio (R, C, W, I, G) ran unopposed.
Town of Niagara
Councilman: Incumbent Marc M. Carpenter (D, R, C, W) won 773 votes and incumbent Charles F. Teixeira (D, W, I, G) had 738 votes to take the two open board seats. Newcomer Richard A. Sirianni (R, C) had 616 votes.
Town Justice John P. Teixeira (D, R, C, I) ran unopposed.
Niagara County Legislature
District 2: incumbent William L. Ross (R, C, I) defeated Sean M. O'Laughlin (D) 1,344 to 1,052.
District 5: incumbent Jason A. Zona (D, W, G) defeated Giulio G. Colangelo (R, C, I) 1,669 to 1,109, to continue representing part of Niagara Falls and the Town of Niagara.
District 7: incumbent Kathryn L. Palka-Lance (R, C, I) defeated Michael E. NeMoyer (D) 1,513 to 808.
District 10: incumbent David E. Godfrey (R, C, I) defeated Christopher M. Srock (D, W, G) 1,617 to 775.
State Supreme Court Justice
8th Judicial District: Paul B. Wojtaszek (R, I) defeated Mark A. Montour (D, C, W) 1,843 to 1,107.
