Niagara County Community College will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at NCCC's Veterans Memorial Park, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn.

The annual ceremony will be led by Anthony Garza, a student in the Business Administration program at NCCC and a former sergeant who served 13 years in the U.S. Marine Corps.

The keynote speaker is Col. Walter O. Gordon, the commander of the 914th Airlift Wing, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. Gordon graduated from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor's and a master's degree in aerospace engineering and was commissioned at the Academy of Military Science. He has served as a flight and flying squadron commander, leading the 328th Airlift Squadron when it became the first combat delivery C-130 squadron in the Air Force Reserve to be fully mission qualified in night vision goggle airland operations.

The Veterans Day ceremony is open to the public. Refreshments will be served immediately after the ceremony in the Notar Administration Building lobby.
