The Grand Island of Chamber Commerce is putting on the second annual Light Up the Boulevard Electric Light Parade and Festival on Nov. 23, from 5 to 9 p.m. The evening's activities will include Grand Island's first-ever Rudolph Run, Electric Light Parade, lighting of the official Town Tree, visits with Santa (sponsored by Kelly's Country Store) music and carolers, craft stations, and vendor booths.

Francine McMahon, of McMahon's Family Restaurant and director of the chamber, founded this community event. According to the chamber, last year's inaugural event surpassed expectations; this year the chamber wants to make this event bigger and better.

To discuss sponsorships of the event, contact Kim McMahon at the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce at 716-773-3651, visit the chamber website at www.gichamber.org, or stop in the chamber offices at 2257 Grand Island Blvd.
