Buffalo Bills: Fred Jackson comments on his injury, Miami, and what he said to Mario Williams

 On Monday's episode of the "Fred Jackson Show" on WBBZ, Buffalo Bills running back Jackson discussed the knee injury he sustained in Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins. He told co-host Bob Koshinski his leg felt numb at first but, once he got some feeling back in it, he wanted to "walk it off."

Despite the injury, suffered early in the first quarter, Jackson returned to the game to score a touchdown. He also made a critical run in the fourth quarter to pick up a first down.

When asked about going back into the game to make the run, Jackson told the coaches on the sideline "we needed it. Get me one on one with the linebacker and we would be able to do it."

His performance was an inspiration to the team that ended up winning 23-21 over the Dolphins.

Bills linebacker Mario Williams made a key sack and ball-strip late in the 23-21 win. Prior to that, Jackson asked Williams on the sideline, "It's about time for another sack, don't you think?" His response was, "I got you."

Jackson said Williams, "is a playmaker, and a great asset for this team."

Joining Jackson and Koshinski was wide receiver Robert Woods. He said it is exciting to be a rookie playing for the Bills, and that Jackson inspires others.

When asked what his rehabilitation schedule will be like for the rest of the week, Jackson said he was not sure what the regiment would be, and noted he "would be smart about it."
