On Friday, Aug. 23, "Music Under the Stars" was held at the Black Willow Winery and featured a selection of artisanal wines and meal paired with J & L Blvd. BBQ, and music by Busted Stuff. All proceeds of the ticket sales from the event were donated to Save-A-Pet.

Cynthia West-Chamberlain, owner of Black Willow Winery, presented a check for $500 to Save-A-Pet from these proceeds, which will be used to help homeless/unwanted dogs and cats in the Olcott/Newfane area. Additional funds were raised for Save-A-Pet during the event from the purchase of gift items sold by the organization, a basket and 50/50 raffle, and direct donations. All together, nearly $900 was raised for Save-A-Pet during the event.

Save-A-Pet is a 503(c) 3 nonprofit organization that operates a no-kill shelter for homeless, abused, neglected or abandoned dogs and cats. For more information on Save-A-Pet and how you can help, visit www.SaveAPetNiagara.com.
