Top-rated summer series announces initial audition cities, including Miami, Atlanta and Los Angeles

Do you have what it takes to win $1 million and be named the most talented act in America?

NBC's No. 1 summer reality series "America's Got Talent" will begin its nationwide search for season nine acts with open auditions beginning in Miami on Oct. 26 and 27. "AGT" will crown the season eight winner live on Sept. 18 (9-11 p.m.).

The auditions then continue in Atlanta (Nov. 2-3), Denver (Dec. 7-8), Indianapolis (Jan. 25-26) and Los Angeles (Feb. 8-9). Additional audition cities will be announced shortly. For updates, registration forms, audition tips, venue information and to submit an online audition, visit www.AGTAuditions.com.

"America's Got Talent" is the only talent competition show open to any age and any talent. The auditions are an opportunity for performers across the country to showcase their talent in 90 seconds to the series' producers, in the hopes of being able to take the stage in front of the "AGT" judges. Every type of performer is welcome. Last season's competitors included musicians, dancers, magicians, contortionists, comedians, singers, jugglers, animal acts and everything in between.

The season nine audition cities include:

  • Oct. 26-27: Miami - Miami Hyatt Regency
  • Nov. 2-3: Atlanta - AmericasMart Atlanta
  • Dec. 7-8: Denver - Colorado Convention Center
  • Jan. 25-26: Indianapolis - Indiana Convention Center
  • Feb. 8-9: Los Angeles - Los Angeles Biltmore

Currently in its eighth season, "America's Got Talent" stars celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howard Stern. With the talent search open to acts of all ages, "America's Got Talent" has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing performers from across the country.
