Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame: 9 new inductees to comprise Class of 2013

The Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame voted in nine new inductees to comprise the Class of 2013 at a recent meeting of their board of directors. Those to be inducted are Brian Atamian, Joe Colosi, Frank Colucci, Ron DeLuca, Tom Manzi, Allan Schug, Robert (Red) Weber and Ron Zuccari.

John Bobo will receive The Robert Eagler Memorial Award given each year to a deceased candidate.

These individuals were voted in for their contributions to the community as outstanding, accomplished athletes and/or coaches, managers, organizers, officials, athletic directors, sponsors and volunteers. Eligible recipients must be at least 55 years of age to be considered. The organization, originally The Old Timers Sports Hall of Fame, was established in 1968 and 278 members have been inducted since.

The inductees will be honored at a dinner to be held at The Como restaurant on Saturday, Oct. 26. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for children under 12. For reservations, contact Mitch Adamshick at 716-773-4743 or Tony Quaranto at 716-285-3267.
