The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo, announces Katharine McPhee will perform Sunday, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets ($77, $62, $47) go on sale Friday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo. This concert is presented by The Derico of East Amherst Corp., and its employees, a locally owned McDonald's organization.

The Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Since opening its doors to families of seriously ill or injured children, the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo has provided comfortable, affordable lodging for 18,000 families from Western New York and around the world. The Ronald McDonald House is a family's "home-away-from-home" when their child requires specialized medical care at a Buffalo hospital.

Actress and Columbia recording artist McPhee spent the past two years starring in the Steven Spielberg/NBC TV series "Smash." She is currently in the studio working on her next solo album, due out later this year. The album will feature McPhee's collaborations with some of the industry's top songwriters.

Shortly following her rise to fame as the runner-up on season five of "American Idol," McPhee's self-titled debut album exploded on the Billboard 200. It was also the best chart debut for a female artist during that period in two years.

In addition to her acting and singing career, McPhee is a passionate philanthropist and currently is the celebrity ambassador for Malaria No More.

McPhee co-starred in the hit comedy "The House Bunny,." She was featured on two hit PBS specials: "Foster and Friends" and "Chris Botti in Boston" (alongside Sting, Andrea Bocelli and John Mayer).

Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts Box Office (weekdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and www.tickets.com. To charge tickets, call 1-888-223-6000. For more information, call 716-645-2787 or visit www.ubcfa.org.
